Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater?
If you want to find out but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba to see if you like it.
While not an actual scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience you’ll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.
The Fun Part
There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. It takes a little getting used to –after all, human beings weren’t designed to do that – but after a few minutes of awestruck wonder, most participants realize how easy scuba diving really is.
The biggest challenge instructors have with the Discover Scuba Diving program is not coaxing participants into the water, but coaxing them out when the program is over. The fun part? It’s all fun!
Let The Learning Begin
We will do a dive briefing with you, show you the basics on the use of scuba equipment and then take you to the uShaka Marine World Lagoon Aquarium. The Discover Scuba Diving is the first part of the Open Water Course. You touch on the first theory session, the first confined session and the first dive all in a two hour period. If you decide that this is the perfect new hobby for you, you can jump straight onto our Open Water Course.
After Course Completion
Once you’ve completed the Discover Scuba Diving program you can dive with a certified PADI professional, anywhere in the world under similar conditions, for a period of one year without repeating the instruction. Although, since you are still very inexperienced, it would still be advised to repeat the full experience.
Further Your Knowledge
An even better option would be to do your Open Water Course so you can start exploring the ocean and all of its wonders. We do our Discover Scuba Diving in the uShaka Marine Lagoon Aquarium and we have three available slots per day everyday of the year except Mondays.
