Deep diving gives you the opportunity to experience the underwater world at a whole new level! Discover new dive sites as you explore novel and unusual aquatic life not always found in shallow dives. The Deep Diver Specialty course offers you the opportunity of a lifetime – going deep to see things others can only dream about.
Once completed you’ll be certified to dive to 40m anywhere in the world and all under the direct supervision of a trained PADI Deep Diver Specialty Instructor. In this course you will experience what it’s like to dive beyond 30m, perhaps even 40m. Down there, it’s different.
Possibly get the chance to do a deep blue dive. A deep blue dive is a dive when you remain at a maximum of 40m but the ocean floor might lie way deeper. Daunting? Maybe, but you never know what you might see! Deep diving takes additional training.
To start the course you must be certified as an advanced diver, or have a higher certification level, and must be at least 15 years of age. During the course you’ll learn deep dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and hazards.
There are four dives included in the course ranging from 18m to 40m. You will dive at least one of your dives on a wreck which acts as an artificial reef for much aquatic life. This certification counts towards the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.
